There's no better name than Chicken Nugget, that's why! I named him when I was four!

I guess I'm in the minority here. How long ago was that?

I just turned 17, so that's... that's...

[ Math................ She stares down at her hands, over at Majima's hands on the steering wheel. ]

Ya don't need my fingers for that! [ come on ] He's pretty old then, huh?

[buncho]

Yeah, he's been around forever. But I take care of him, so he's still really healthy! We run around all the time and he eats the same stuff I do!

[ aka chicken nuggets; it's a miracle he's still hanging on ]

Yeah, he's the best! He's basically the oldest friend I have, so I was never lonely as a kid. Did you have pets growing up?

[sotenbori]

[ he shakes his head ]

I grew up at the orphanage. There were some strays around, but. Nothin' anyone could keep.

[buncho]

Dogs are good for kids; they should've just let everybody share pets.

[ That way, there'd always be somebody around to play with, to feed the dogs and in turn the kids will be looked after too. It only makes sense to her that every household has a dog or two. ]
